Back in 2020, our team were recruited to film and deliver live video coverage of The Business Day event, which took place during June 2021 at the Bridlington Spa. As media production partner for this event, Eon Visual Media were responsible for delivering live video coverage of the event as well as showcasing a series of pre-recorded videos of local businesses operating within the Hull & East Yorkshire Region.
So far in our current series of case studies, we have begun to explore all the promotional videos (including Hull Animal Welfare, JZ Flowers, Bishop Burton, Hull 4 Heroes, Associated British Ports, Humber Rescue, and the Daisy Appeal) which we produced for a wide variety of different businesses for The Business Day event. In this case study, we explore three promotional videos which we produced on behalf of For Entrepreneurs Only (FEO). FEO are an independent Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Hull and represent successful private sector businesses operating within a diverse range of different industries. Their aim is to boost the local economy in Hull and East Yorkshire and to help local entrepreneurs to start, adapt and grow their businesses.
What We Did
As media production partner for The Business Day, it was agreed that Eon Visual Media would produce three short promotional videos on behalf of FEO, which would feature three acclaimed business members and allow them the opportunity to promote their businesses. In preparation for creating these film projects, our videography and creative team liaised with the team at FEO as well as the featured business members to efficiently plan each video production.
Chiropody & Foot Health
For our first video production, our videography team travelled to Chiropody and Foot Health in Hessle and captured an interview with the Business Owener and Head Chiropodist Caroline McCartney. The premise for this video was for Caroline to explain the varied services available at her clinic, how her business has adapted to overcome the challenges caused by the global pandemic, and how she has now expanded the business and opened a brand-new clinic in Barton-upon-Humber. Our video also featured a variety of additional video footage of the business premises and its facilities which had been provided by Chiropody and Foot Health.
The Modern Draper
For our second production, our videography team travelled to The Modern Draper in Beverley to capture a similar interview with business owner Chris Terry. The premise for this video was for Chris to explain how his business was founded, how it operates from its premises and online, and how Chris has overcome the challenges caused by the global pandemic and Brexit. Whilst on-site, our videography team also captured a plethora of additional video footage of the business premises and its fashion products.
Solita
For our final video production, our team travelled to the Solita restaurant in Hull city centre to capture a final interview with business founder Chris Harrison. The premise for this video was for Chris to explain how Solita was founded, how this has grown over time, and how financial support from the UK Government has helped Chris to overcome the challenges caused by the global pandemic and subsequent UK lockdown. In addition to this interview, our final video production also featured a variety of additional video footage of the many varied restaurant premises in Manchester, York and Sheffield which had been provided by Solita.
