In 2012, Paul Spence was the victim of an unprovoked attack, subsequently suffering a frontal-lobe brain haemorrhage that changed his life forever. He was left facing years of neurorehabilitation, and was told he would never be the same person again, turning his world upside down in every way imaginable.
But he refused to let this incident define his future.
Paul will be sharing his inspirational story, as well as practical insights into how to prime your brain to thrive during times of change, pressure and uncertainty, at this year’s The Business Day event on Friday 5th June.
The Business Day Breakout
As sponsors of the event, we are so proud to welcome Paul to speak in our designated breakout session.
Typically, we use our time slot to talk about changes in the business world, technological advancements and what innovations we see as a small, local business. Our last few talks have centred around AI and what it means for creativity and innovation.
This year, however, we wanted to do something different. All of these changes are still happening in the business world, with AI being a huge influence in operations and output. But what about the impact of these changes on people like you, who are often caught up with responding and adapting them? We want to give you the insights you need to prime your brain to thrive during these uncertain and challenging times, so you can boost your resilience, enhance your wellbeing, and maximise your potential both in and outside work.
By sharing his talk, Paul hopes to inspire and empower you to overcome any challenges that you may be facing, so you can become the best possible version of yourself you can be.
Rewired for Resilience
You’ll learn:
- How purposefully prioritising his brain’s health empowered Paul to take control of his recovery and every aspect of his life
- The science that influences your brain’s performance in ways you’re probably not aware of
- How you can apply these principles in your own work and personal lives to stay in control during times of challenge and stress
Paul’s experience proves that no matter how difficult the circumstances, it’s never too late to prioritise your most important organ and start living with greater purpose, fulfilment, and success.
If you’re at this year’s The Business Day event, please do pop to our stand (on the balcony this year!) and say hello. And don’t miss Paul’s talk – it will really inspire you and give you tools to start intentionally improving your wellbeing and performance.
