Background
Springfield Solutions, part of the All4Labels Global Packaging Group, are a leading partner in Packaging Artwork, Reprographics and Asset Management for Global brands.
They contacted us to redesign their website to align their online presence with branding changes, which saw their digital label printing content migrate into the All4Labels UK brand.
Objectives
Their main objectives included improving the global messaging for their fast-moving consumer goods target audience, showcasing their differentiators from competitors, and ensuring that any website visitors who landed on the site expecting print content were still able to land at their intended destination.
They wanted to show the scale of their brand management services whilst continuing to receive enquiries through the website. The purpose of the new Springfield Solutions website was to focus more effectively on the Global brand management services and give visitors a clear overview of how the business can support customer needs.
Research
Their previous website was designed and developed by Eon Visual Media and launched in 2022. Part of the current project included design updates, particularly to showcase their streamlined brand management services, which were distinguished by the following categories: creative, production, management, and print. This included customer content from all areas of the business: packaging mock-ups, reprographics and asset management. For example, Global brand Airwick, who utilise Springfield Solutions Brand Management Services.
One example of a benefit of Springfield Solutions’ services is consistency in packaging artworks across all packaging types and substrates. Therefore, we wanted to convey this through the web design and decided on a CSS animation. In the research phase of any web redesign project, we consider competitors and companies in similar industries for inspiration.
Design
We found that using bright, visually engaging colours were the best to be used on the homepage. Colour coding on the homepage follows through into blog article images, retaining consistency, professionalism, and navigation. The ‘Our Work’ section was redesigned into a masonry grid style to visually showcase the brands and labels in a more visually focused way, as the switch to focus on Brand Management services lends itself to a visual showcase. The overall layout of the pages has generally remained unchanged since the original development in 2022, with a main focus on updates to content and imagery, as well to redefine and enhance the way Springfield Solutions presents itself to new and existing customers.
