Background and Objectives

UK registered charity, P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery, specialise in providing support, guidance and education to individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury. Part of their mission includes raising awareness and promoting understanding of brain injury, as well as campaigning to improve recovery services.

Founder, Paul Spence, approached us here at Eon Visual Media for support with their marketing and communications. We have an ongoing relationship with the charity, after previous projects and fundraising missions! It is really important for P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery to communicate their mission and services, providing value to those affected by acquired brain injury (ABI). As well as this, it is important for them to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including businesses and organisations.

Process

To begin with, it was important that our team really understood the values and brand identity of the charity, encompassing Positivity, Awareness, Understanding and Love. We worked closely alongside the P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery team to identify the key channels and messaging, segment the audiences, and help plan content in the most effective way.

We collated this with all of the external research we did to formulate a concise and clear strategy to support their marketing team. We worked closely to give content ideas and effectively plan content for different audiences. It was important we balanced the marketing for their events and fundraisers alongside raising awareness and understanding of ABI, giving value to individuals and families, and gaining support from businesses and organisations.

KPIs and Reporting

One of the most important aspects of our marketing consultancy involved setting up key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools to help measure analytics on their website and social media. Our development team worked alongside marketing to ensure that Google Analytics 4 was properly set up so we could extract the appropriate data.

We utilised existing data to set achievable KPIs to maintain focus on marketing activity. In addition to this, we set up content and marketing meetings to improve communication within the team.

It is really important for us to get involved in this stage to ensure the marketing strategy has longevity and is usable for the client after the project is completed. We strive to make our projects as accessible as possible for each individual client.

Outcome

Following on from the success of the initial project, we now work alongside P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery on a consultancy basis to really help nurture their marketing team and help them implement the strategic changes.

We are an official friend of P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery and will always continue to work alongside them in a professional sense and in fundraising endeavours!
